SUYA GOLD CHICKEN SPICE BLEND RECIPES

Possibly the most common Suya (skewed spiced meats) is made with chicken, my SUYA GOLD CHICKEN SPICE RUB of smoked paprika, garlic powder, ginger powder, onion powder, peppercorns, coriander seeds, ground peanuts, cayenne pepper, thyme, nutmeg, rosemary, and our unique grains of Selim, is my take on the traditional Suya from Ghana that now anyone can make at home.

 

 

I would like to share a few of my favourite Suya Gold chicken recipes , they are quite easy to prepare and are very unique and delicious.

1 whole free range chicken
Olive Oil
Salt
Carrots
Garlic
Fresh Ginger
Broccolini
Rub chicken with a generous amount of olive oil, sprinkle salt and 3 - 4 tablespoons of  Suya Gold handcrafted spices, massage into chicken , add baton carrots, broccolini, whole cloves of garlic, finely sliced ginger, drizzle with olive oil and bake in 190 degree oven for 45 - 60 minutes. Sprinkle with a little extra "Suya Gold" just before serving.
Serve with Ghana Jollof Rice

Beer Can Chicken. SUYA GOLD CHICKEN SPICE RUB

1 free-range whole chicken
SUYA GOLD FIRE SPICE RUB (optional
Olive oil
Salt
Can of beer
 
Rub the chicken with a small amount of olive oil, rub all over with a generous amount of Suya Gold -CHICKEN SPICE RUB, and if you like it hot, some Suya Gold -FIRE  SPICE RUB.
Place a beer can holder in a cast iron dish and insert the can into the chicken cavity, drizzle with extra olive oil and sprinkle with salt to taste.
Bake for about 45 mins at 200 degrees c, best to cook in a hooded BBQ.
